Before & After Care
Hydrafacial
BEFORE
- No retinol for 24hrs before procedure
- No tox/filler within the last 4-7 days
- Best to arrive with clean skin
- No current facial skin infection or active acne breakouts
AFTER
- DO NOT wash your face tonight after your facial
- AVOID exfoliating products on your face for at least 3 days
- AVOID the sun/UV light for at least 3 days
- DO NOT apply makeup for at least 24 hours
- Drink adequate water to stay hydrated
- Moisturize as much as possible with a gentle facial moisturizer
- DO NOT have any other facial treatments for at least 48 hours
- AVOID acne products, or products containing retinol, or salicylic acid for at least 3 days
- AVOID hot showers, saunas, and hot baths for 48 hours
- DO NOT have any waxing or laser treatments on your face for 4-7 days
- DO NOT pick your skin
Microneedling
BEFORE
- No retinol for 5 days before procedure
- No tox/filler within the last 4-7 days
- Best to arrive with clean skin
- No current facial skin infection or active acne breakouts
AFTER
- You can expect your skin to be red with some swelling for the first 24 hours
- Your skin may peel, be dry, or breakout for the first few days after treatment
- Do not apply makeup for at least 24-72 hours and clean your makeup brushes before using them again after treatment
- Wash your hands before you touch your face
- Apply sunscreen anytime you go outside for 2 weeks. Avoid direct sun exposure for 72 hours
- Clean with a gentle facial cleaner. Avoid skincare with harsh chemicals, scents, exfoliants, glycolic acid, alpha hydroxy acids, retinol A, and vitamin C for the first week
- Avoid swimming, saunas, and steam for 72 hours
- Use topical ointments/aftercare packet of products as recommended by Ageless Med Spa
- Contact Ageless Med Spa if you experience any of these rare symptoms:
- Fever
- Yellow/green discharge
- bleeding
- Signs of infection
- Allergic reaction
AntiWrinkle Injections
AFTER
- Sit upright for the first 4 hours
- Avoid exercising for the first 1-3 days, as suggested by your provider according to the level of your treatment
- Do not apply makeup for 4 hours
- Do not drink alcohol for 24 hours
- Do not touch the area near your injection for 1-3 days
- Avoid skin treatments like facials, massages, exfoliations, permanent makeup, etc. for at least the first 24 hours
- Avoid sleeping directly on the treated areas, especially for the first 24 hours
- Avoid the sun or other forms of heat exposure like tanning beds, hot tubs, hot showers, and saunas for 24-48 hours
- Redness, tingling and some swelling is typical for the first 24 hours
- Bruising is common and should disappear by 2 weeks
- You may lightly apply an icepack for relief from these symptoms
- Ask your provider about medications you take that could increase bruising
- Seek medical help immediately if you experience these rare side effects:
- Trouble swallowing
- Breathing
- Speaking
- Muscle weakness
- Vision Changes
- Loss of bladder control
Dermal Filler
AFTER
After getting dermal fillers, you may experience the following:
- Redness
- Swelling
- Bruising
- Tenderness
These are common reactions and can be found around the injection site. Symptoms usually subside after a few days but can last up to a week.
- AVOID touching or rubbing the area for at least 6 hours
- AVOID alcohol for 24 hours
- Avoid strenuous exercise and heat exposure including saunas and hot tubs for 48 hours
- DO NOT have any other treatments on the face or mouth for at least 2 weeks
- AVOID aspirin and other non-steroidal inflammatory drugs for 5 days
- Use a cold compress and Tylenol every 4-6 hours to reduce swelling, soreness, and discomfort
- AVOID direct sunlight. Always wear SPF 30+
- Use a gentle cleanser and antiseptic cream as suggested by your provider
